LandScience: Urban Planning Through a Virtual Internship!! 2016 - 2017 School Year Apply Now Mass Audubon and the University of Wisconsin are currently looking for environmental educators and organizations (both informal and formal) who work with High School students to join them in year 3 of their New England-wide NSF grant that aims to use digital learning and virtual internships to teach about urban planning and the relationship between social and ecological systems of cities. - Land Science is a virtual internship for middle and high school students funded by the National Science Foundation and developed by the University of Wisconsin and Mass Audubon. - Students take on the role of interns in a virtual urban planning firm where they are presented with complex, real-world STEM problems with no optimal solutions. - Teachers have the opportunity to join the Land Science Educator Network (LSEN) - a unique group of formal and informal educators implementing Land Science in a variety of educational FORMAL AND INFORMAL EDUCATORS ARE BOTH WELCOME TO APPLY.
