Dodge Data & Analytics, partnered with The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), recently released the “2020 Green Single Family and MultiFamily Homes SmartMarket Brief.” The study was done in order to better understand green building activity in the residential market. The findings are based off of four online surveys created for US single family and multifamily home builders and remodelers conducted from September to November 2019. The topics of the four surveys include: green building market activity, marketing of green homes, drivers and obstacles for increased green building, and the use of green products and practices. There were 1,163 respondents in total that completed 2,000 surveys. The new study “presents a portrait of green activity, evolving trends in the marketplace, and factors that can increase engagement with green by single family and multifamily builders and remodelers.”
