Event Description

Smart Cities NYC '17: Powered by People will convene global mayors, CTOs, CIOs, and private sector and NGO leaders to explore how innovation and smart infrastructure are transforming cities, improving urban life, and creating more inclusive economies. The groundbreaking SCNYC17 conference and expo will be hosted at the historic Brooklyn Navy Yard with the Building Energy Exchange's multi-sector sponsors and partners, including Microsoft, Smart Dubai, and Cities for Life, among others.

Through panels, receptions and exhibitions, SCNYC17 will address emerging topics including: using big data to manage urban assets; smart governance with cloud technologies; fostering innovation with urban labs; harnessing a new creative class through entrepreneurship ecosystems; the future of automation and employment; training tech talent – and so much more! Dozens of expert-led workshops with organizations including C40, International Cleantech Network, MIT, and New York City agencies, will enable participants to learn about best practices and experience new technologies firsthand.
