Green Spaces Promote Safer Neighborhoods

I came across this the other day. I thought it was interesting because there is some cynicism involved with taxpayer money going into green spaces because hey think the spending on parks has a poor return on investment. The University Illinois Urbana-Champaign found that crime reduction correlated with creation of green space. The American Planning Association published this article after reviewing several papers over the past 20 years.
