AIA COTE Advocacy - A Letter for Architectural Firms to Sign, to the new EPA Director

"As the new administration sets its priorities for the Environmental Protection Agency, the undersigned architecture firms urge you to preserve and protect vital programs at the Agency that support our core business functions and save American consumers billions of dollars per year in utility and health care costs."

The AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE) has asked for help letting architectural firms know about a letter the group has written to EPA Director Scott Pruitt, and to encourage firms to sign on to the letter. The letter reviews key EPA programs that support sustainable architecture and building.

A key goal is to gather as many signatures as possible within the next to weeks, though it may be possible of course to sign on with your support if you see this post after that time period.

Read an introduction to the letter here: https://network.aia.org/committeeontheenvironment/advocacy#EPA

Firms can sign on to the letter here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/X6XTLW7

I am comfortable promoting this initiative, and I hope those of you who can spread the word will do so as well. I did not feel the letter is particularly political, and it seemed pretty straightforward and professional. To me, protecting the environment and building green, and creating green jobs just aren't partisan.
