The U.S Green Building Council Los Angeles Chapter (USGBC-LA) Municipal Green Building Conference and Expo (MGBCE) is the longest running annual green building event in Southern California. The conference attracts a wide variety of building industry disciplines, including municipalities, utilities, public agencies, architects, engineers, building owners, contractors, non-profits, and manufacturers. All of these groups are working together to create connected cities that succeed in the three E’s: Economic, Environmental, and Equity solutions.

The 2017 Municipal Green Building Conference and Expo (MGBCE) theme is Connected Cities: Economic, Environmental, and Equity Solutions. Across the Southern CA region, the top ten trending topics in cities include:

10. Health
9. Technology & Data
8. Diversity & Inclusion
7. Energy & Environment
6. Housing
5. Education
4. Infrastructure
3. Budgets
2. Public Safety
1. Economic Development

City administrations are seeking ways to forge an inclusive path forward, especially at the local level. We are seeking solutions at the building, city, and regional scale. We welcome your participation and encourage you to submit an abstract to share your innovative green building expertise in wellness, efficiency actions, technology, and policy. MGBCE is Southern California's longest-running and largest sustainability and green building event focusing on the unique needs and concerns for municipalities, architects, contractors, and engineers.

Hosted annually by the Los Angeles Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council and SoCalGas, this event brings together thought-leaders in the industry with local government agencies, municipal policy makers, policy implementers, leading architects, and building industry professionals to further the development of a sustainable future for Southern California.
