Greenstar Blox ™ is an energy efficient and environmentally friendly building material comprised from recycled short-fiber cellulose, cementitious materials, water, and an organic ad-mixture. We don''t just use any paper. We prefer a special blend of recycled newspapers, lottery tickets, office documents, and phone books for all of our products, during both manufacturing of and construction with our Blox. We have replaced aggregates normally found in concrete with our gradations of cellulose fibers to form a material with high insulating and structural characteristics. The advantages of using Greenstar BLOX are numerous. The simplicity of masonry construction is only topped with the use of light weight materials. Our Greenstar Blox ™ are an exact cinderblock or adobeblock replacement and weigh only 8 pounds. Greenstar Blox ™ will double and even triple the R-values of conventional wood frame construction. The customer sees this in their annual energy savings.

The goal of Mason Greenstar is to minimize the impact that materials have on the environment throughout the building life-cycle; including construction, operation, possible renovation, and eventual demolition by using a salvaged waste material, conserving natural resources, and encouraging a more efficient lifestyle.
