Enviroshake Inc. is a Canadian company that was founded in 1998. The Company’s product, trademarked as “Enviroshake® ", is a composite product designed to replicate the appearance of a weathered or rustic taper-sawn cedar shake roof. After 3-9 months following installation, the Enviroshake takes on the appearance of a weathered cedar roof, even to the extent that it will “silver” with exposure to create the contrast of the dry rustic silver-grey weathered appearance, and the dark grey dampened appearance when wet, just like a cedar roof. The Enviroshake replicates the look of a cedar shake roof in appearance, contour and texture. Predominantly all of the materials (95%) used in the product are reclaimed materials. The Enviroshake® composite blend is a mixture of post industrial plastic(s), recycled rubber elastomers and cellulosic fibre materials. The product has been used in high profile new construction and renovation projects such as the Henry David Thorough home and featured on numerous television shows. Enviroshake is available across Canada and the U.S. and can be installed only by Certified installers to maintain the highest quality of the installation. Enviroshake® will directly divert waste materials that are not biodegradable. Enviroshake® is proud that its operation fulfils all the components of the 3R environmental agenda - reduce, reuse and recycle.
